Nos chaînes alimentaire/ Our Food Chains

I changed the "Brain Breaks". Go have a look!

This week in grade 4, we created our own food chains. Here are some examples of what we did:

Journée pyjama, stuffy et film demain/ Pj, stuffy and movie day tomorrow

Parce que nous avons remplit notre contenant de billes (gem jar), n'oubliez pas que demain c'est notre journée pyjama et film demain. Tu peux aussi apporter ton stuffy.

Don't forget that because we filled our marble jar (gem jar), tomorrow is our pyjama and movie day. You can also bring your stuffy. Please make sure that it is nut-free. We are also voting on a movie to watch in class. Don't forget that the movie you bring must be rated G.

One empty gem jar, means that...

the other is full! Pj, stuffy and movie day tomorrow!

Important: Head Lice in Our Class

Hello parents,
a note has gone home tonight to inform you that there are cases of head lice in our class. Here are a few things that you should be aware of regarding head lice:

Outbreaks of head lice are common throughout the school year. Head lice spread quickly by close, head-to-head contact. Lice cannot live on furniture or carpet, and they cannot jump or fly. There may be few or no symptoms, but itching may occur.

You can help by:

-  Checking your child’s head with the wet-combing method of detection once a week
throughout the school year;
-  Encouraging your child to wear their hair tied back, and avoid touching heads with other
student;
- Using the wet-combing method of treatment or other treatments immediately if you notice lice on your child’s head.

Here is a helpful link to further answer any questions: http://www.canadianfamily.ca/kids/child/new-solutions-head-lice/

Should you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to leave a note in your child's agenda or give me a call at the school.

Thank you.
